Brief Bio
Markus Helfert is Director of the Business Informatics Group at Dublin City University, and a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the School of Computing, Dublin City University (Ireland). He is senior academic at Lero - The Irish Software Research Centre. He is a research affiliate at The Open Government Institute at Zeppelin University in Germany. His research interests include Information Management, Innovation, Cloud Computing, Service Science, Enterprise Architecture and Open Data and Smart Cities. Currently he advises several small and medium sized Enter prise in relation to Innovation and IT Management. Markus Helfert has authored more than 200+ academic articles, journal and book contributions and has presented his work at international conferences. He is member of international programme committees and reviewer and associate editor of several IS journals. Dr. Helfert has received national and international grants from agencies such as European Union (FP7; H2020), Science Foundation Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. Prior to his appointment at Dublin City University, he held a research position at the Institute of Information Management at the University of St. Gallen. Dr. Helfert holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), an MSc from the University of Mannheim (Germany) and a BSc from Napier University in Scotland (UK). ... More >>

Brief Bio
Karl-Heinz Krempels studied computer science at RWTH Aachen University. He received a doctoral degree (2009) in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University for works on Agent-based Scheduling and Timetabling. He worked as research associate in several national and international projects on knowledge-based planning, agent technology, timetabling, health care, human-computer interaction. He joined to the Database and Information Systems Group at RWTH Aachen University as Postdoc in summer 2010 and is continuing his research on timetabling, intelligent distribued systems, mobility info mation systems, and mobile navigation systems. Brian Donnellan is Professor of Information Systems Innovation at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM) and Co-Director of the Innovation Value Institute. Prior to joining NUIM he was a faculty member in the Cairnes Postgraduate School of Business and Public Policy in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). His teaching and research interests lie primarily in the area of innovation systems, which encompasses innovation, new product development, Sustainable ICT and IT management. Prior to joining NUI Galway faculty in 2004 he spent 17 years working in industry While in industry he was responsible for the provision of information systems to support New Product Development and the implementation of Knowledge Management and Innovation systems. ...
